The
desktop size compact 10Base-T hubs that offer all the features of full-sized, standard
rack-mount 10Base-T hubs, including automatic port partition, collision detection,
extensive diagnostic LED report and hub cascading, while keeping the size and weight down
to the minimum. The hub provides 16 STP ports (16 RJ-45 shielded connectors) and one BNC
port. The BNC port can be used for cascading with other hubs, allowing the portable hub to
be attached to a coaxial backbone to be part of a larger network.

Flexible to install, it is ideal for desktop-sized start-up networks
with few nodes. Its cascading port, however, permits the network to expand to 64
ports or more. The hub's compact size makes it easy to install even at installation sites
with tight spaces. By incorporating Shielded Twisted Pair connectors design, the hub not
only provides the ultimate reliability to the network transmission but also provides the
ultimate protection to the human body from radial exposure. Cabling requirement is not
restricted to shielded twisted pair cable, one can use unshielded twisted pair cable if so
desire. |
